Advanced training in the IGF code Aflyst
Arrangementsbeskrivelse
BASIC- and ADVANCED training in relation to the IGF Code
SIMAC Training has set up a 5-day training course at the training facilities in Svendborg, covering the requirements as specified for Basic- and Advanced training in the IGF Code.
During the course the participants will obtain the required training and standard of competence for ships subject to the Code of Safety for Ships using Gases or other Low-flashpoints Fuel.
In the course for Basic training in IGF Code, practical firefighting training will take place in co-operation with Svendborg Søfartsskole.
All training conducted in Basic- and Advanced training in the IGF Code are carried out in compliance with STCW-convention section A-V/3 paragraphs 1 and 2, and under the approval of the Danish Maritime Authority.
Basic Training IGF Code: 3 days
Advanced Training IGF Code: 2 days
Prerequisites for participation: Approved firefighter course in accordance/compliance with STCW and valid medical certification for seafarers.
Basic and Advanced training for operation of IGF ships
All seafarers with designated safety duties on board ships subject to the IGF Code, will be required to complete approved Basic Training in accordance with STCW-convention section A-V/3 paragraphs 1.
Masters, officers and all personnel responsible for the safe fuels and handling of fuels, incl. emergency responds on board ships subject to the IGF Code, will be required to complete approved Advanced Training in accordance with STCW-convention section A-V/3 paragraphs 1.
Certification
SIMAC Training will issue a “certificate of proficiency in basic training for service on ships subject to the IGF code” after completion of the course.
SIMAC Training will issue a course certificate to participants that has completed Advanced training on ships subject to the IGF code after completion of the course. The Danish Maritime Authority will issue “Certificate of proficiency in advanced training for service on ships subject to the IGF Code” upon application electronically, when the applicant can verify:
- That a course has completed in Advanced training on ships subject to the IGF code.
- That 1 month of approved time on board a ship subject to the IGF code, has been obtained, and
- 3* bunker operation has been completed during the time on board.
*The Danish Maritime Authority will approve that 2 of the bunkering is covered though the training carried out using simulator-training.
